The object before you is a Clean Air Roomba circa 2030. After the efforts of the 2020s to plant more trees to offset greenhouse gases was found to be lagging far behind what was needed the government decided to deploy an army of robotic air purifiers. Dubbed the Clean Air Roombas they travelled to areas of high air pollution air and purified them. 

 

Running on Solar power most of the time the Roombas would recharge at local houses on cloudy days. The houses were incentivised to accommodate the Roomba’s needs but many people fell in love with these quirky little robots and they soon developed a cult following resulting in people declaring themselves Roombies.
